Manchester City have slapped a €20 million price tag on Inter target Yaya Toure, though the Nerazzurri are confident the player will help lower that price tag ahead of an expected move.

Toure was in the starting lineup for City’s 2-0 victory over Southampton on Sunday, a match that is expected to be his last for the club as reports indicate he is ready to leave the Premier League to join mentor Roberto Mancini at Inter.

Sky Sport Italia report that City have placed an initial price tag of €20m on the 32-year-old, an amount that is well above what the Nerazzurri are ready to pay for the Ivorian.

Inter, who have already reached an agreement on a four year contract worth €6m a season with the player, are waiting for that price tag to drop once Toure sits down with City directors and tells them of his intention to leave the club.

Toure has been at Manchester City since 2010 when Mancini, who was manager of the Citizens at the time, signed him from Barcelona.
