Dimitri Seluk, agent of Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure, has revealed that the English club have no intentions of selling the star to Inter this summer due to his important role in the team.

The 32-year-old, whose existing deal with the Citizens is set to expire in June 2017, has been heavily linked with a move to the Nerazzurri as of late, with many believing that the Ivorian international would be open to a reunion with former City boss Roberto Mancini, though his agent is claiming otherwise.

Seluk spoke to Sky Sports UK about his client’s current situation at Manchester City and calmed rumours regarding Toure’s possible exit from the club, insisting that he will eventually look for a contract renewal.

“Despite the many offers for Yaya from teams including Inter, Manchester City have decided that he is too important to sell,” said the agent. “They have no plans of letting him go anywhere this summer.

“At the moment we aren’t putting pressure on City to give him an extension, though I plan on getting him a new deal that’s better than his current one.”
