Roberto Mancini has labelled Inter’s campaign as troubled ahead of the season finale against Empoli.

The Tuscans travel to the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza to end a pleasing season on Serie A survival, while the Nerazzurri will look disdainfully at a lack of progression throughout 2014/15.

“It has been a troubled season and now we will take time to regroup and think about lost opportunities,” the four-time Scudetto winner told reporters.

The Italian also faced questions over his and owner Erick Thohir’s future, before looking ahead to the summer transfer market.

“The transfer window will be essential, but I will 100% still be here. I have great trust in [Thohir] to bring back the glory years and it will be a very busy summer, we will do our best to make the team ready for next season.

“It will not be difficult to attract players,” the 50-year-old maintained, “some players are focussed on the Champions League but here we have history and the players know that, so I believe we can make a good team.”

Finally, the Biscione coach responded to individual rumours regarding Yaya Toure and Mehdi Benatia: “We will understand if it is possible or not when we know [Toure’s] situation.

“[Benatia] has qualities that we are all aware of but he is a Bayern Munich player and we do not believe that they want to sell.”
