Rolando Maran admitted his side deserved to lose to Torino in Serie A on Sunday.

The Granata ran out 2-0 winners at the Stadio Olimpico di Torino, with former Chievo frontman Maxi Lopez bagging both goals.

“We were not the normal Chievo, we deserved to lose,” Maran told Rai Sport after the game.

“If we don’t give 100 percent then we won’t get a result. This was a hiccup.

“Today, we couldn’t play how we like to and ended up with a bad performance plus a defeat.

“It may be a slight setback, but the main thing is not to give up and avoid bad days.

“I will speak to the guys because I want to finish the season as positively as possible.”

The tactician’s contract expires in June and he did admit there will be meetings to discuss whether or not he will remain at the Stadio Bentegodi.

“I will meet with the club this week,” Maran continued, “and decide what to do.

“The relations between myself and the club are excellent, so we will sit round a table and see how it goes.”
