AC Milan forward Jeremy Menez has dispelled rumours linking him to a move away from the Rossoneri by revealing he is content to be at the club, speaking upon his relationship with the team and giving his view on the season.

Despite only joining on a free transfer last summer from French champions PSG, the French forward has been constantly linked with a move away from Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in the wake of Milan’s failure to capture European football for the next season, in addition to his hot form throughout the year, with Menez being one of the only bright sparks in a considerably disappointing season for Milan.

Menez however spoke of his desire to continue with the club next year, and remains confident of his sides abilities and aspirations.

“I am happy here at Milan,” Menez told the club’s official channel, Milan Channel.

“I have an excellent relationship with the other players, and we are a great group. It’s just too bad about the results, and we’re disappointed.

“Personally I think that I’ve had a good season though I could have done even better. There is still a lot that I can improve on so I hope that I can do more next season.

“I’m very good here, I have heard some things that I don’t like, but that’s football.”

Under fire coach Filippo Inzaghi has also been increasingly linked with a move away from the club, though under separate circumstances, yet Menez still holds belief in the 41-year-old and praised him as a reason for his own success.

“Ever since I first heard him I can always feel his confidence, it’s what helps me to give my best,” he said.

The 28-year-old also spoke of his desire to return to the National team having missed the World Cup, and labelled it as a motive for joining Milan.

“I also came here so that I could get back in the national team.

“Obviously I do my best for Milan, more than anything but next year is the European championship [in France] and I want to be there.

“But now we have to concentrate on finishing the season well, for ourselves, the club and the fans.”
