Angelo Palombo - SampdoriaSampdoria skipper Angelo Palombo is hoping current coach Sinisa Mihajlovic remains at the club despite constant rumors linking the Serbian with a move to a host of Serie A outfits including Napoli and AC Milan.

The Blucerchiati drew 1-1 away to Empoli earlier today with the team captain adamant it would be a great pity if the team was forced into a tactician change over the summer.

“Hopefully we’ll get some news soon,” he told Sky Sport Italia. “It would be a shame if Mihajlovic left after the huge strides we have made this season.

“He have improved hugely because of him and with the club’s ambitions it would be a blow if we can’t remain together.

“There are so many stories flying about so there must be something going on. We’ll play our final game next week and then we’ll see what happens.”
