Lazio defender Stefan Radu has stated that he will do anything to play in Monday’s Derby della Capitale against city rivals Roma.

The Romanian international suffered a knock in his side’s 2-1 defeat to Juventus in the Coppa Italia final on Wednesday, and the left-back praised his side’s performance despite the loss.

“I feel fine but tomorrow I hope the scans go well,” Radu told Rai Sport. “I’ll do anything to play in the derby on Monday.

“We played really well against a side that are in the final of the Champions League, they eliminated Real Madrid. We were also unlucky as [Filip] Djordjevic hit the post, but that’s how football goes.”

The 28-year-old then commented on coach Stefano Pioli’s decision to play with three at the back on Wednesday night.

“The coach played decided we’d play three at the back about two or three days ago,” he started. We implemented it in the second half against Sampdoria [a 1-0 win] and it went well.”
