AC Milan defender Adil Rami has insisted that he will leave the club if Filippo Inzaghi is still Rossoneri coach next season.

The 29-year-old still has two years remaining on his contract but he believes he may have to leave the club to go in search of more regular playing time as well as Champions League football.

“I still have two years left on my contract with my club,” said Rami to L’Equipe du Soir.

“However I want to play a lot more and I would like to play in the Champions League.”

He continued: “I want to wait and see what happens at Milan, especially with the coach.”

“If Inzaghi will remain then I will ask to go and play elsewhere, otherwise I am happy to stay.”

The French international was also optimistic about a move back to his homeland if it were to arise.

“As for a possible move to Lyon, I do not see why not.”

Rami has made only 18 league appearances for the Rossoneri this season, scoring once.
