Atalanta coach Edy Reja apologized to the fans as his side were beaten 3-1 by AC Milan in their last Serie A match of the season.

La Dea went up early on thanks to Daniele Baselli’s header, but were eventually defeated with goals by Giampaolo Pazzini and a Giacomo Bonnavetura brace.

“I’m sorry because I wanted to good, level performance,” the tactician told Sky Sport Italia.

“Tonight I’m sorry, the boys have used a lot in terms of nerves, to just avoid relegation.”

Reja switched gears from the match and then focused on the upcoming additions that should be made this summer.

“We need to add a player in defence,” he said. “In attack we have many options. We have found alternatives in Baselli and [Alberto] Grassi.”

“I made a choice [to come to Atalanta] and I move on [from Lazio],” Reja said. “Here I have found a beautiful environment, a good club and I think we can do well in the future. ”
