Roma and Inter will battle it out to secure the signature of Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Yohan Cabaye.

The Frenchman joined the Ligue 1 champions from English club Newcastle United in January 2014 but has found game time hard to come by, failing to cement a regular spot in the first team. This has led to speculation that Cabaye may seek a move elsewhere in the summer.

According to Sportmediaset, Roma and Inter have been alerted to Cabaye’s concerns about his future at PSG and could offer an escape route.

After disappointing seasons, both sides are expected to rebuild over the summer and have marked out Cabaye as an ideal signing. Roma coach Rudi Garcia previously worked with the player at Lille and would be keen to reunite with him.

The midfielder would bring experience, having earned 38 caps for France and representing his country at Euro 2012 and the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
