Roma and Udinese have been hit with fines following the actions of their fans during the midweek round of Serie A fixtures.

After a meeting between the Lega Serie A and the Giudice Sportivo, the fines were made public on Friday.

The Giallorossi have been fined €15,000 for chanting of their fans in their 3-0 victory against Sassuolo in Reggio-Emilia on Wednesday night – those offensive songs being “insulting on the grounds of territorial origin” from the Roma supporters.

As they often have been, the songs were directed towards the people of Naples and could heard being sung during the 35th minute of the match.

Udinese were sanctioned with a lower €2,000 hit for songs sung by their fans against the referee during their 2-1 defeat against Inter in which the Zebrette had two players sent off.
