Roma could make a summer move for Feyenoord and Netherlands midfielder Jordy Clasie.

The club captain is reportedly unsettled at his side’s failure to qualify for next season’s Champions League, and could potentially look towards an exit in the summer to achieve his ambitions.

According to Voetbal International, the Giallorossi are ready to step forward to offer Feyenoord a deal for the playmaker, despite him having three years still to run on the contract which was signed just last year.

However, Rudi Garcia’s side are just one of a trio of clubs to be chasing the player’s signature, with English Premier League side Southampton and Zenit St Petersburg of Russia also apparently interested.

Roma have already secured a second place finish in Serie A, ensuring that they will enter next season’s Champions League at the group stage,.

23-year-old Clasie has racked up 129 Eredivisie appearances for the Rotterdammer side, hitting the back of the net on eight occasions.
