Roma have agreed to sign striker Victor Ibarbo on a permanent deal, following the Colombian joining on-loan in January from Cagliari.

The 24-year-old joined the Sardinians in 2011 before signing for the Giallorossi in the January transfer window. Since then, however, injury has blighted his time in the capital, restricting Ibarbo to just three starts, registering zero goals in six appearances.

However, Retesport reveals that Ibarbo’s performances in training have convinced Roma to part with the pre-agreed price to make his stay at the Stadio Olimpico permanent: €12.5 millon.

The Colombian international has, meanwhile, returned to full fitness and played 90 minutes in the Lupi’s important 3-0 win over Sassuolo on Wednesday, and is expected to be in the squad for the visit of Genoa on Sunday.
