Roma are looking to the Bundesliga and young Augsburg star Abdul Rahman Baba ahead of the Summer transfer market.

Rudi Garcia is already beginning preparation for the 2015/16 Serie A season after a disappointing second half of the campaign.

According to reports from Corriere dello Sport, the 20-year-old is high on the priority list for the Giallorossi following an impressive breakthrough season for the German side.

The Ghanaian has played in 28 of Augsburg’s 31 matches and has helped them into a current Europa League qualification place.

Roma had initially inquired about the services of Baba in January, and the stock of the left-back has trebled due to his performances in the Bundesliga.

He cost current side Augsburg €2.5 million to gain his services from Greuther Furth and has thrived in the 3-4-3 and 3-5-2 formations when asked to play as a wing-back.

There is also reported interest from English side Manchester City, who will be looking to improve their squad to attempt to do battle with 2014-15 winners Chelsea next time around.
