Sinisa Mihajlovic SampdoriaWhile appearing willing to wait and allow current coach Rafael Benitez to decide his own future with the club, it has been reported that Napoli have made a concrete offer to Sinisa Mihajlovic to take over from the Spaniard.

However, with Sampdoria failing to win any of their last six matches since the Serb was linked with taking over at the Stadio San Paolo, the 46-year-old has been quick to deny rumours of his departure.

According to Sky Sport Italia, though, the Partenopei owner Aurelio De Laurentiis had actually presented a contract to Mihajlovic suggesting their interest in him was extremely strong.

Despite that offer, Benitez could yet agree an extension to his current contract and remain in Naples, although that is thought to include certain promises over strengthening their playing squad for next season.
