Sampdoria are hot on the trail of former AC Milan forward Alexandre Pato and are also keen on free agent Lassana Diarra.
Despite the uncertainties surrounding head coach Sinisa Mihajlovic and who could replace him, president Massimo Ferrero is not wasting any time in lining up his transfer targets for the summer and the former Milan goal-scorer is topping his wish-list.
Pato, currently on loan at Sao Paulo from Corinthians, is the club’s number one target with sporting director Carlo Osti looking to land the 25-year-old on an initial loan deal. It is also reported that former France international Diarra is wanted by the Blucerchiati.
The Genoese outfit have already secured several summer signings, having already secured deals for Ajax captain Niklas Moisander and Palermo’s Edgar Barreto as they look to build on what has been an impressive season for the club.
