Lega Serie B have revealed the dates for this season’s Serie B promotion play-offs.
With the season drawing to a close, the teams at the top of the table remain extremely close, with Livorno sitting just one point outside the play-off places in 9th, just seven points off Vicenza in third.
The preliminary round fixtures will take place on Tuesday May 26th, as two one off games, and will from here on be referred to as fixtures A and B.
Fixture B will kick off at 18:30 and will see those who finish 7th travel to the side who finish in 6th. Fixture A will take place at 21:00 and see the 8th placed team travel to the 5th place finishers.
The semi-finals will take place over two legs, the first of which will occur on Friday May 29th, with the return fixture being played on Tuesday June 2nd.
Friday, May 29th
18:30 – Winner of B v 3rd place
21:00 – Winner of A v 4th place
Tuesday, June 2nd
18:30 – 4th place v winner of A
21:00 – 3rd place v winner of B
The final will also take place over two legs, with the first leg taking place on Friday June 5th, and the return leg being played on Tuesday June 9th. The second of these fixtures will take place in the home stadium of the team who finished higher in the Serie B standings.
At the other end of the table, the relegation play-offs will be contested between the teams who finished in 18th and 19th place.
The first leg will see the 19th placed team at home first, and will take place on Saturday May 30th at 18:30. The return leg will be played on Saturday June 6th, again kick off will be 18:30.
