Following an impressive 1-0 away victory at Hellas Verona, Udinese coach Andrea Stramaccioni has reinforced his desire to remain at the club and has dismissed recent rumours linking Chievo coach Rolando Maran with his job.

In addition to speculation regarding his future, the 39-year-old tactician also spoke about his decision to leave goalscorer Antonio Di Natale on the substitutes bench at the beginning of the match.

“I want to congratulate Maran and Chievo because they have had a very good season,” Stramaccioni told Stadio Sprint after the match.

“I am calm about the whole thing. The president has a two-year project in mind and we are only thinking about the finishing the end of the season well.

“As for Toto [Di Natale], we have a great relationship, as I do with the whole team.

“I am here to make decisions and after having played two important games, I said to him that he could do well coming off the bench and that is what happened.

“We are growing and we want to finish well.”
