Parma’s future continues to be clouded in uncertainty after the Ducali failed to find a buyer at the third attempt with Monday’s auction completed without any bids being received for the finically stricken club.

The Emilia-Romagna side were declared bankrupt in March following months of turmoil with players and staff going without wages since the summer and time is now running out for the club’s administrators to find a buyer for Parma and save them from the ignominy of having to reform in the lower divisions of Italian football.

In an official statement released by the club, administrators Alberto Guion and Angello Anedda confirmed that the third auction with an asking price of €11.25 million has been unsuccessful in acquiring new ownership for Parma and that a fourth auction will be held on Friday, May 22, with the starting price being reduced by another 25% to €8.4 million.

If there is a failure to sell the club on Friday, then a fifth and final auction will be scheduled for Thursday, May 28, with a base price of €6.3 million. If a sale cannot be secured on that date then it will result in the dissolution of the club which celebrated in centenary in 2013.
