Cerci - AC MilanTorino president Urbano Cairo has not ruled out a move for on-loan AC Milan winger Alessio Cerci, but admitted that a potential move would be ‘complicated’.

The 27-year-old Italian international shone for the Granata last season, which earned him a move to Atletico Madrid in the summer.

He failed to adapt in the La Liga however, and was involved in an 18-month swap deal with Fernando Torres to move to Rossoneri in January, but has flopped on his return to Italy as well, netting only once.

Reports suggested that Torino could make a move for their former hero, but Cairo has remained coy on a potential return.

“Cerci? I feel for him, he’s had a very unlucky season,” Cairo told Sky Sport Italia just before the match against the Rossoneri.

“When you start on the wrong foot, it’s hard to put things back on track. We are still fond of him, but his return would be complicated. Our relationship is still excellent.

“Darmian? We do not want to repeat what happened last year with the sale of Cerci in the last hours of the transfer market. We want to define the situation by June.

“If amazing offers arrive by then, we will talk. We do not need to sell him, our budget doesn’t rely on it. Meanwhile, we have already identified some replacements.

“The relationship with [the coach] Ventura is excellent, there are not problems with the contract. We will decide at the right time.”
