West Ham United are reportedly considering an offer to former Italy coach Cesare Prandelli as they eye a successor for Sam Allardyce.

The 60-year-old English manager led the Hammers to 12th place in the Premier League last season, but did not have his contract renewed in east London.

According to Gazzetta TV, West Ham have enquired about the availability of Prandelli and whether or not he would be interested in the role, to which the reply was positive.

Prandelli was most recently in charge of Turkish side Galatasaray but left the club in November 2014, after just 16 matches in charge.

Current Ajax boss Frank De Boer is said to be the favourite for the job.
