AC Milan have joined city rivals Inter in the race to sign Stevan Jovetic from Manchester City.
The Nerazurri have long been admirers of the 25-year-old, who looks set to leave City of Manchester Stadium this summer as the Premier League side eye Liverpool’s Rahim Sterling.
According to Sky Sport Italia, Milan are looking to add the Montenegrin to the all-but-signed Jackson Martinez.
With increased investment, the Rossoneri are looking to sign Jovetic on a permanent deal, and have already made contact with his entourage to garner his feeling towards a move.
It is thought Inter are looking to take Jovetic to the Stadio Meazza initially on a €700,000 loan, with view to a permanent deal at the end of next season.
Jovetic was excluded from Manchester City’s Champions League squad for the knockout stages of the competition last season, prompting the player to evaluate his future in England.
