Cristian Zapata AC MilanCristian Zapata has launched a stunning attack on AC Milan coach Filippo Inzaghi asserting the coach had problems with his players this season.

It is widely expected that the young tactician will leave the club at the end of the season and Zapata would welcome the return of Carlo Ancelotti to the Stadio Meazza.

“It has been a difficult year at Milan because the coach had problems with the players and vice versa,” Zapata told Marca.

“It was a very difficult year for everyone involved and the tense climate in the dressing room was reflected on the pitch.

“Thank god it is over and now I can focus on playing for Colombia.

“I am not sure why the coach did not play me more often, it was probably a personal issue he had with me.

“Maybe next year if Ancelotti comes to the club then things can change for the better.

“Nobody knows whether he is coming or not but we remain hopeful that he does.

“Everybody knows what a great coach he is, lets see what happens.”
