Sinisa Mihajlovic SampdoriaWith the curtain now drawn on Serie A, the coaching merry-go-round has begun to gather pace with AC Milan one of the highest profile clubs in the hunt for a new tactician.

Current boss Filippo Inzaghi is widely expected to vacate the Rossoneri hot-seat after a decidedly poor campaign, guiding the Italian heavyweights to a miserable tenth place finish and missing out on European qualification.

Sky Sport Italia are today reporting that the Milan hierarchy are now considering ex-Sampdoria coach Sinisa Mihajlovic to take over from Inzaghi, should top priority Carlo Ancelotti reject the chance to make a sensational return to his former club.

Ancelotti could take a break from football after his stint at Real Madrid and should this happen, the Milan giants will talk with Mihajlovic with a view to him becoming the new coach at the Stadio Meazza.

The Serb has been heavily linked with the Napoli post of late, though the Partenopei having seemingly switched their focus towards Sevilla boss Unai Emery, paving the way for Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani to make an offer to Mihajlovic.
