Milan have turned their attention to Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan, after losing out to city-rivals Inter in the race to land Geoffrey Kondogia.

Negotiations between Roma and Cagliari over the 27-year-old’s co-ownership situation have reached an impasse, with the Rossoneri looking to capitalise on a potential opportunity to swoop in.

According to Sky Sport Italia, AC Milan are waiting on the outcome of Nainggolan’s contract negotiations, with the deadline for the settlements of co-ownership deals fast approaching.

The Belgian international was also courted by Spanish giants Real Madrid, and would reportedly be tempted to leave Italy, if a concrete offer was made.

Nainggolan has been with the Giallorrossi since January 2014 and has gone on to amass a total of 66 appearances, scoring seven goals and laying on a further nine assists.
