Lazio attacking midfielder Felipe Anderson was pleased with his side’s 4-2 victory at Naples on Sunday, and stated the Biancocelesti deserve their place in the Champions League.

Despite Napoli coming from two goals down before Gonzalo Higuain missed a crucial penalty, Lazio rallied and two late goals from Ogenyi Onazi and Miroslav Klose took the Aquile to Europe’s premier club competition.

“I cried at the end of the [Napoli] game because of both excitement at the outcome and relief,” Anderson told Brazilian newspaper A Tribuna.

“We deserve to be in the Champions League next season. It wouldn’t have been right to miss out the Champions League after working so hard throughout the season.”

The 22-year old also expressed his delight after being named as one of the seven stand-by players in Dunga’s Brazil squad for the Copa America.

“It’s a pleasure to represent Brazil”, Anderson said.

“I will think only about the national team in the summer.”
