Arsenal are rumoured to be preparing a €30 million offer for Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal.
The 28-year-old has been linked with a switch away from the Juventus Stadium, and reports from Spain have suggested Juventus have already agreed to sell the player to an unnamed European club.
Now, according to the Daily Express, Arsenal are keen to strengthen their midfield this summer, and see Vidal as the perfect player to partner the likes of Aaron Ramsey and Jack Wilshere.
Currently on international duty with Chile at the Copa America, Vidal was recently involved in a drink-driving incident, though this is not thought to have dented Arsene Wenger’s interest in the player.
Vidal made 41 appearances in all competitions for Juventus last season, as the Bianconeri completed a domestic double of Serie A and the Coppa Italia, whilst also reaching the Champions League final where they lost to Barcelona.
I cannot see a better place for the ultra industrious Vidal. He is strong, skillful, non-stop and a little angry. If anybody fits the bill for one of the last pieces of the Arsenal jigsaw it is Arturo Vidal. If Wenger does not bring him into the fold then Wenger will not lead himself to league glory but instead to the knackers yard of obstinate league football managers. We shall see.
