Atalanta starlet Davide Zappacosta has said that playing in the English Premier League would be a dream, while acknowledging interest from Liverpool.
With rumours swirling regarding the 23-year-old’s future, Zappacosta has admitted that turning down a move to an internationally-renowned side would be a gamble for his career.
“Playing in the English Premier League would be a dream, but we do not know how much of the rumours are true,” said the former Avellino man to Sportitalia.
“I’m keeping my feet on the ground but I certainly feel ready for an adventure abroad.
“I want to perform in major international football, and should an offer be there for me I would have the desire to prove myself.”
The right-back is reportedly high on the Reds’ transfer wishlist having released former first-choice Glen Johnson, although the giants have also made a move for Southampton fullback Nathaniel Clyne.
“At the moment I do not know anything, although I can expect to in the coming days.” he concluded.
