Tevez - Juventus v Real MadridAtletico Madrid are keen to sign Argentine striker Carlos Tevez from Juventus.

The 31-year-old finished as the third highest goalscorer in Serie A at the end of the 2014-15 season on 20 goals, behind Hellas Verona’s Luca Toni and Inter’s Mauro Icardi.

According to AS, Atleti believe that the player may be allowed to leave the Old Lady in summer for a fee as his contract expires in June of 2016 and Los Colchoneros coach Diego Simeone is reportedly a big admirer of the player.

Atletico Madrid are reportedly hopeful that they can sign Tevez for a transfer fee of less than €10 million.

Juventus are reportedly keen to renew Tevez’s contract although the former Manchester United striker is frequently linked with a return to Argentina and Boca Juniors where he wishes the finish his career and be with his family due to his struggles with homesickness in the past.

Tevez has been selected as part of the Argentina squad for the 2015 Copa America following a successful campaign with Juve after winning the league, cup and reaching the Champions League final.
