Juventus face a struggle to keep hold of midfielder Paul Pogba, as their Champions League conquerors Barcelona get closer to making a move.
Former Manchester United star Pogba has been the subject of intense speculation this term, and it seems only a matter of time before the Catalan giants reach an agreement for his services after the treble winners confirmed their intention to snare the Frenchman.
“It’s true that Pogba is a great player,” said Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu during an interview with Telefoot.
“He’s one of our objectives and of course we’re interested, but I cannot say more.
“We aren’t able to buy until January 1, so I can’t say any more.”
The Blaugrana are prohibited from signing players until January 2016 due to a transfer embargo, but appear determined to make the 22-year-old one of their first recruits once they reach that date.
