AC Milan are reportedly looking to make an approach for Barcelona right-back Dani Alves.

The 32 year-old Brazilian international has entered the final month of his contract at the Camp Nou, with little to suggest either side want to commit to a new deal.

According to Sky Sport Italia the Rossoneri are looking to offer Alves a new home, but need to ward off interest from Paris Saint Germain and Manchester City.

Alves’ current €7 million-a-season salary is deemed excessive compared to Milan’s highest earner Philippe Mexes on a salary of €4m, but vice-president Adriano Galliani is confident he can lure the Brazilian to the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.

Milan had hoped bringing Carlo Ancelotti back would aid in their attempts to sign Alves, but the former Real Madrid boss has declined the offer.

Barcelona signed Alves from Sevilla for €32.5m in 2008, making him at the time the most expensive defensive signing in football.
