Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre Ter Stegen has praised Juventus keeper Gianluigi Buffon.
The Spanish giants play La Vecchia Signora on June 6 in the final of the Champions League, and Barcelona’s shot stopper Ter Stegen has said he thinks that his Italian opposite number is one of the best players in the game.
“Buffon is a great goalkeeper, he has had a great season and he is a legend,” the 23-year-old told the press.
Ter Stegen also said that the team wants to keep their recent good form in the final in order to give themselves the best chance of winning.
“We want to play as we have been in recent weeks, as we are in a good situation,” the Barcelona stopper said.
The German youngster also said that he is looking forward to making his Champions League final debut.
“It’s my first Champions League final and I’m very happy to play in it,” he admitted.
