As the build-up towards tomorrow’s Champions League final begins to warm up, Barcelona midfielder Sergio Busquets has told of his surprise in facing Serie A giants Juventus.
The Catalan heavyweights are huge favorites to lift the trophy against a Bianconeri outfit that the Spanish international claims struggled to make it through to the final in Berlin.
“In December it didn’t look like Juventus were going to get any further in the competition,” he told La Gazzetta Dello Sport. “They haven’t played entertaining football to reach the final, but have been compact and hard to beat.
“Are we the favourites? It’s understandable that our fans are dreaming of the trophy but this competition is never easy to win. We are slightly different than when we had [Pep] Guardiola in charge as [Lionel] Messi plays much wider than previously.
“We had been figured out by our opponents so we had to make adjustments which we have done well.”
