BertolacciRoma midfielder Andrea Bertolacci has praised AC Milan ahead of his impending €20 million move to the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.

The 24-year-old Roman spent the last three seasons at Genoa having been co-owned by the Grifoni and the Giallorossi, however the player’s hometown club bought out the other half of his contract in a deal that also brought Iago Falque to the Stadio Olimpico.

With Roma looking to raise funds following the permanent capture of combative midfielder Radja Nainggolan, and consider Bertolacci to be expendable.

“I’m very excited as AC Milan were always my first choice,” Bertolacci told the press.

“I can’t wait to get started.

“I have so many friends at Milan so I’m very happy to be here.

“I believe that the club will be great once again.”

Il Diavoli are hoping that Bertolacci will provide a much needed creative spark to a lacklustre midfield.

The playmaker had an impressive campaign in 2014/15 that saw him score six goals and provide eight assists for the Rossoblu while earning a call up to the national team.
