Juan Cuadrado could be heading back to Italy after just six months at Chelsea with Inter eyeing the Colombian.

The West London club are reportedly considering the possibility of allowing the 27-year-old to leave Stamford Bridge on loan.

According to Sky Sport Italia, any loan deal could come with the attached condition of a mandatory purchase once the loan expires, with the Blues apparently looking to cut their losses after splashing €33 million on the Colombian in January.

The ex-Fiorentina star has had a frustrating time in England so far, only making 12 appearances the Premier League champions and never playing the full 90 minutes.

Inter were thought to be close to signing fellow Chelsea winger Mohamed Salah, but the Egyptian is now set to instead return to the Stadio Artemio Franchi on another loan with a similar mandatory option to buy.

The Nerazzurri are also keeping tabs on Napoli’s Dries Mertens as an alternative to Cuadrado should Chelsea’s demands be too high.
