Stefano Colantuono has been announced as the new coach of Udinese.

The Italian was sacked by Atalanta on March 4, but Colantuono will replace Andrea Stramaccioni as Zebrette coach following the club’s worst finish to a Serie A season since the 1995/96 campaign – 16th – with the announcement of his appointment taking place on June 8 at the side’s stadium, the Stadio Friuli.

“Stefano Colantuono is the new coach of Udinese! The presentation will be on Monday June 8,” Udinese’s official Twitter accounted tweeted.

The club’s website also announced the news, as well as stating that Colantuono has signed a two-year contract with the club.

The 52-year-old was at Atalanta between 2010 and 2015 for his second stint at the club, before which he was at Torino and Palermo, both twice, as well as times at Perugia and Catania.
