Vrsaljko - SassuoloNapoli have reached an agreement to bring 23-year old Sassuolo right back Sime Vrsaljko to the San Paolo club next season.

If signed, the Croatian international would signal Napoli’s third player acquisition of the summer transfer market joining midfielder Mirko Valdifiori and goalkeeper Pepe Reina, both of whom agreed to join the new-look Partenopei as the club transitions from former coach Rafa Benitez to new tactician Maurizio Sarri.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the player has accepted the club’s offer and it is now up to new Napoli sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli to negotiate a purchase price with the Neroverdi for the World Cup defender.

Vrsaljko started 19 Serie A matches for Sassuolo this past season and has cemented a place as one of the best young fullbacks in Italy since arriving in Genoa from Dinamo Zagreb in July 2013.

The Neroverdi would owe the Grifoni 40 percent of any negotiated purchase price as part of the €3.5 million deal which brough Vrsaljko to Sassuolo, and Napoli may also offer Colombian striker Duvan Zapata to sweeten the deal.
