Crystal Palace are reportedly closing in on Inter defender Davide Santon with hopes of bringing him back to England in the coming weeks.
The 24-year-old, who’s expected to sign a permanent deal with the Nerazzurri once his loan from Newcastle United expires at the end of June, has already been linked with a return to the Premier League despite just arriving to the Serie A during the most recent January transfer window and it seems like the Eagles may be the favourites to land him.
According to SportMediaset, Crystal Palace would be ready to make a serious offer for the Italian in July, as coach Alan Pardew would be looking to reunite with the left-back following the positive relationship they had together at Newcastle, though it’s unknown if he would be willing to leave Italy already.
Santon made nine Serie A appearances for Inter last term, while also providing an assist in his four Europa League appearances.
