Luigi Di Biagio ItalyItaly U-21 coach Luigi Di Biagio is hoping that he can lead his side to victory at the 2015 European Championship and admitted that their minimum objective is to reach the semi-finals.

Di Biagio has guided the Azzurrini to the 2015 tournament as they overcame Slovakia in a playoff and find themselves in a tough group with England, Portugal and Sweden with Di Biagio feeling that his players can make it out of the group.

“We are ready to get through to the semi-finals, that is the minimum target,” Di Biagio told Sky Sport Italia.

“We can reach the top, we have grown so much.

“[Danilo] Cataldi? Amongst the youngsters he is the one who has matured the most and improved by the greatest margins.

“He has so much that is ahead of him, he must learn to shoot at goal more for example.

“[Federico] Viviani? He is coming off the back of a good season, all he has to do is continue this form in each game throughout the tournament.”
