Former Parma coach Roberto Donadoni has denied reports that he has been offered the opportunity to take over at Swiss champions Basel.
The 51-year-old former Italian international is now a free agent after the Ducali’s demotion to the amateur leagues this week, but is in no rush to get back into coaching.
Reports this week suggested he is one of the leading candidates to take over at Basel from Paulo Sousa, who joined Serie A club Fiorentina earlier this week.
“Contact with Basel? They are just rumors. At the moment, there is nothing new, no contact with other clubs,” Donadoni told Sport Italia.
Donadoni was also being linked with the Fiorentina job before Sousa was confirmed earlier in the week.
