Cagliari midfielder Albin Ekdal has attracted the interest of Serie A club Fiorentina and Turkish giants Fenerbahce.

The Isolani were relegated from Serie A last season and the 25-year-old Swedish international is one of the few players who looks set to leave the club now they are in Serie B.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Fenerbahce are offering €5 million for Ekdal but he would prefer to stay in Serie A on the basis that Swedish national team coach Erik Hamren would be able to keep a closer eye on him.

This would still give Fiorentina a chance to pounce on the Cagliari player.

Ekdal has played 116 Serie A matches and scored eight goals for Cagliari since 2011. He was in career-best form last season, scoring five goals in 33 matches for the Isolani and that included a hat-trick in a 4-1 against Inter at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.

Ekdal has been capped 15 times for Sweden and he is yet to score a goal.
