Turkish side Galatasaray are reportedly set to step up with their efforts to sign Torino captain Kamil Glik as their initial offer is expected to be turned down by the Serie A side.

The Polish international signed for the Granata from Palermo in July 2011 for a fee of around €300,000 and he has since gone onto make a total of 121 appearances for Toro.

Tuttosport have stated that the Turkish champions are willing to offer around €10 million for the 27-year-old, however it is likely that the Toro president Urbano Cairo will reject this deal as he is reluctant to allow the influential defender to leave for less than €15m.

The Torino defender is currently under contract at the Stadio Olimpico until the summer of 2017 but he is yet to sign a contract extension and the speculation regarding his future is increasing.

Glik was integral for Torino last season, making 44 appearances in all competitions and scoring eight goals.
