Arturo Vidal - JuventusJuventus midfielder Arturo Vidal has reportedly met with Real Madrid to discuss a potential move to Spain.

New Madrid boss Rafael Benitez has apparently made the Chilean midfielder his number one transfer target as he looks to put his stamp on the Los Blancos side.

Now, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, while Vidal was on his way to meet up with the Chile squad ahead of the Copa America, he missed his connecting flight from Madrid to Santiago. Thus, had to spend a day in the Spanish capital.

It is believed he met with representatives of Real Madrid, as they look to sound out the midfielder ahead of a potential move.

Vidal made 41 appearances in all competitions for Juventus last season as the completed a domestic double of Serie A and the Coppa Italia, though were beaten by Barcelona in the Champions League final.

I don’t understand why you would publish these things when you know it is a lie. No player has ever nor ever will get stuck at the airport and then suddenly have a meeting with a team about a potential transfer. It’s absurd.
