Lamela - TottenhamJuventus could add striker Fernando Llorente to a deal which would bring Tottenham Hotspur’s Erik Lamela to Serie A.

The Bianconeri frontman looks set to leave the Juventus Stadium following the acquisitions of Mario Mandzukic, Paulo Dybala and Simone Zaza by the club, while coach Massimiliano Allegri is looking to add a more creative forward to his forward line.

With Tottenham said to be interested in Llorente, Sky Sport Italia have suggested that Juve could add cash plus the 30-year-old Spaniard in a bid to snatch Lamela from the Premier League side.

Lamela has endured a tough time since his €30 million move from Roma to Spurs in 2013, and managed just six goals in 45 appearances last season. Meanwhile, Llorente bagged seven goals in 31 Serie A games.

It IS NOT going to happen.
The Italian press have not shut up about Lamela returning to Italian football since the week he left. He left – get over!
Spurs want Llorente as cover/competition for Kane, and because he played under Bielsa whois Pochettino’s tactical mentor. And Juventus will be willing to let him go due to his age and having better players. Lamela nowhere near his peak as a footballer yet, is improving and is developing into a player who will, likewise, be a good fit for Pochettino’s tactical style. The two do not compare – Spurs aren’t going to swap a developing major asset for a declining and unwanted one. If Juventus won’t deal just for Llorente Spurs will move on to another target. In the meantime, get over Lamela leaving Italian football. It happened.
