Lazio are chasing the services of PSV Eindhoven star Jetro Willems.
The 21-year-old Dutch international has established himself as one of the best players in the Eredivisie this season, and looks destined to move to one of Europe’s elite sides.
Il Messaggero report that Lazio are hoping to steal a march on these sides, and will make a concrete move after monitoring the player for the past two years.
The Albiceleste are looking for a new left-back, with the probable departure of Stefan Radu – who only has a year left on his current deal – to Sampdoria.
PSV will likely ask for a big fee when selling Willems, judging by the price they sold Memphis Depay to Manchester United earlier in the summer.
Willems assisted 16 goals in 40 appearances across all competitions for PSV this season.
