morrisonRavel Morrison will remain as a Lazio player after he rejected the opportunity of a move to Queens Park Rangers.

The Londoners, who were relegated from the Premier League last season, identified the former West Ham United midfielder as a key target as they look to win promotion from the Championship next season.

The 22-year-old was linked with a swift return to London after reports that he was suffering from homesickness in Rome but Sky Sport Italia report that he has rejected the chance of returning to QPR as he feels the prospect of playing for Lazio is too big an opportunity to pass up on.

Morrison, who is yet to make his debut for the Biancocelesti, signed a pre-contract agreement with Lazio in February after he was released by the Hammers having fallen out of favour with former coach Sam Allardyce but was not able to be registered for the Aquile before the start of the 2015-16 season.
