Lazio are probing the availability of Sampdoria striker Eder as they look to add an attacking player to bolster their lineup this summer.

Having already been strongly linked to Fabio Borini of English Premier League giants Liverpool, it has now emerged that Brazilian-born Eder is also being considered as an option.

Rather than meet Sampdoria’s €15 million asking price for the Italy international, the Biancocelesti would much rather barter, offering the name of defender Stefan Radu in addition to a smaller sum of money, report La Gazzetta dello Sport.

28-year-old Radu has one year left on his deal with the Roman side, and looks increasingly likely to depart at some point during this current transfer window.

It is reported that Lazio have set an ideal target of July 9 to complete the desired forward signing, a deadline which could be helped by how both Blucerchiati coach Walter Zenga and president Massimo Ferraro are keen admirers of Radu.
