Argentina and Napoli legend Diego Maradona can not hide his delight at Carlos Tevez’s possible return to Boca Juniors this summer.
The 31-year-old Argentinian international looks set to spurn interest from Atletico Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain to return to his boyhood club in the coming months.
Reports this week suggested that Tevez’s entourage asked the Bianconeri to allow him to return home in the summer, and the club are unlikely to stand in his way given his service over the past two seasons.
Maradona, who like Tevez, is seen as an idol at La Bombonera, could barely contain his delight at seeing his former pupil returning to Argentina.
“Welcome home, Carlos #tevez! Welcome back! #boca,” Maradona wrote on his official Facebook page.
