AC Milan coach Sinisa Mihajlovic is confident he can do well after joining the Rossoneri this summer, though he knows it is too early to measure his impact at the club just yet.

The 46-year-old has taken over from Filippo Inzaghi, who led the Diavolo to a disappointing 10th place finish last season, and he believes there are the necessary pieces in place to have a successful campaign at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.

“My impact on the Milan world? I can’t know that yet, because so far I have only been with management,” he stated while attending the Porto Cervo Summer Championship 2015.

“As for the fans, a lot will depend on the results: if somebody wins they are good, if they lose they are awful. It works like that everywhere, but it is not a problem.

“I joined Milan convinced I could do well, and I am convinced we will do so.

“The battle with my friend [Roberto] Mancini? I will think about it when we are close to the derby against Inter. In my career I only thought about these matches twice during the season, and I will do the same this year.”
