Italian sides Roma and AC Milan are in a battle to secure the signature of Sevilla striker Carlos Bacca.

The Colombian striker is currently competing at the Copa America for his country and is attracting the interest of numerous clubs across Europe.

According to Tuttomercatoweb.com, both Roma and Milan are interested in the forward with the former leading the race.

Roma have already started long negotiations for the 28-year-old, but in recent days Milan have turned up their pursuit.

The main advantage that Roma possess is that they can offer Bacca Champions League football after their second place finish in Serie A last season.

Milan meanwhile have no European football to offer Bacca, but vice president Adriano Galliani will still try to negotiate a deal.

Bacca was vital in securing back to back Europa League titles for Sevilla last season, scoring seven goals in the competition.
